RECCOMENDATIONS



The Atkins diet is recommended when wanting to lose weight fast but it is hard to maintain over long periods. As it doesn't me the guidelines or AMDR’s it isn't highly recommend.

Tips for success is to:
  • Read food labels
  • Be caution of serving sizes
  • Look out for extra/hidden carbs in foods
  • Important to count your carbs
  • Avoid added sugar
  • Include protein in every meal
  • and lastly include exercise into your daily life

Overall the Atkins diet can be a suitable choice but only if it is strictly followed. It is a quite challenging diet so commitment is key.
